Public Speaking with Dr. Sunny
Speak & Shine® is our branded training, coaching, and educational services in public speaking. We started Speak & Shine Academy in 2020. It is dedicated to public speaking and leadership development for children, youth, and adults. Experience has taught us that the younger a child starts learning public speaking, the more interesting it becomes. As a result, they develop confidence in social and communication skills. Children and youth development are important to us! We take pride in empowering youth to develop their communication and leadership skills in an AI powered world. These skill sets will contribute to a person's lifetime happiness and career success.
If your child is naturally comfortable speaking, they are off to a good start. Yet no one is born a great speaker. In fact, most people, young or old, get nervous when speaking in front of an audience. It takes a lot of practice to be good at speaking. Speak & Shine Academy makes this learning process easy and fun!
We offer three types of online training:
- Group Lessons for Children and Youth
- Individual Coaching for Teens & College Students
- Speak & Shine Youth Club
Here is the roadmap. We transform shy, nervous speakers into confident and competent communicators.
To make learning fun and easily accessible, we also create educational and entertaining videos on our Speak & Shine YouTube Channel. You can watch and learn how to become a better communicator, how to be more skilled in public speaking, how to handle Toastmasters roles with ease, and how to encourage children in public speaking.
About Dr. Sunny
Dr. Sunny Fridge, affectionately known as
"Dr. Sunny" is an award-winning speaker, educator, presentation coach, and youth communication specialist. She is the CEO of Speak & Shine® LLC and co-founder of Speak & Shine® Academy and the Speak & Shine® Youth Club, where she helps children, teens, and adults develop confidence, communication, leadership, and presentation skills.
For more than 25 years, Dr. Sunny has taught communication, journalism, and public speaking at the university level and currently serves as an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Communication at Oral Roberts University. She is a certified Roger Love Method™ Voice Coach and a certified coach, speaker, and trainer with the John Maxwell Leadership Team.
Before launching Speak & Shine®, Dr. Sunny worked in New York City media, including positions with CBS, where she interviewed notable leaders and celebrities, including Colin Powell, Regis Philbin, and Oprah Winfrey.
Today, Dr. Sunny combines her experience as a broadcaster, educator, and coach to help young people find their voice and develop the communication skills they need to thrive in school, leadership, college, and an AI-powered world.
