Speak and Shine® Academy offers comprehensive training in public speaking and leadership skills for kids and teens.

Our approach:

Teaching basic public speaking skills through a series of online classes (Find Your Voice & Love Your Voice).
Continuous practice in a club setting. Through club meetings, they not only grow their communication skills but also develop leadership skills.
On top of learning the fundamentals and having a long-term practice environment, the Academy offers further growth opportunities in more advanced areas, such as speech competitions, being a YouTube content creator, handling interviews, and more.

We strive to help youth develop real-life interpersonal, social, and leadership skills, at the same time making the learning process fun!

Speak & Shine® Courses

Confident Speaker Series

The Confident Speaker series helps students build a foundation in public speaking. It has two incremental levels. Each level has 5-8 sessions. Learning takes place both during and outside of the online sessions. Dr. Sunny conducts fun, interactive sessions, and voice challenges. She provides classroom practices, reviews student submissions, and answers offline questions. After graduation from the Confident Speaker Series, students are eligible to join our Speak & Shine® Public Speaking Club.

Speak & Shine® Youth Club

The Confident Speaker series is designed to help students develop a robust foundation in public speaking through a structured, engaging, and interactive curriculum. The series is divided into two progressive levels, each consisting of 5-8 sessions that blend in-session learning with out-of-classroom activities.

Public Speaking Teams

Speak & Shine® Youth Club is organized in teams. Each team is typically around 10 to 15 students. Club fees are collected every six months based on the number of meetings (e.g. $12 per meeting 8-10 meetings)(check for Early Bird Discounts).

Club members continue the development process in a friendly and positive team environment!

Dr. Sunny Fridge leads these sessions, creating a lively and supportive environment where students can thrive. Each session includes Interactive Lessons: Engaging and dynamic sessions that make learning enjoyable and effective. Voice Challenges: Fun exercises designed to enhance vocal variety and confidence. Classroom Practices: Practical activities that reinforce key public speaking skills. Personalized Feedback: Dr. Sunny reviews student submissions and provides tailored feedback to help them improve. Ongoing Support: Students can ask questions and receive guidance even outside of regular sessions. Upon completing the Confident Speaker series, students are well-prepared and eligible to join the Speak & Shine® Public Speaking Club, where they can continue to hone their skills and grow as confident communicators.
