Dr. Fridge aka Dr. Sunny is a certified coach, teacher, and speaker with the John Maxwell Team.  As the owner of Sunny Fridge Consulting, LLC, her passion is helping others to unleash their untapped potential through workshops, seminars and coaching.  She is committed to educating, mentoring and supporting other entrepreneurs. Keeping in line with that commitment, she has founded Chance Network, a non-profit venture to empower young people and women through personal and professional development.

I joined the Toastmasters over six years ago.  Initially, I just wanted to improve my communication skills. Having seen so many great speakers, I want to be more like them.  Since my early days in toastmasters, I always wished that I had the opportunity to learn public speaking when I was younger.  This idea came to me that I should introduce public speaking to kids, so that they can benefit from communication skills and leadership skills early one.

Public speaking skills will do wonders to your life, I often said to my own child.  I eventually started a youth gavel club in 2019.  I was very fortunate to have so many supporters from the Toastmasters community.  My Toastmasters friends helped the club meetings and made them interesting for the kids.  After one year, our youth gavel club is going strong. 

I have been in various officer positions in Toastmasters clubs, VPM, VPE, VPPR.  And recently I was appointed as the Administration Manager in District 18.  Toastmasters has been like a family to me.  I have met some most amazing people here.  In particular, one person touched my life with a magical wand.  She is Dr. Sunny Fridge.  She is an award-winning professional speaker and very talented in teaching.  She is my mentor and dear friend.  Without her coaching and encouragement, I would never believe in myself to start a gavel club.  COVID-19 brought us closer than ever.  Because of COVID-19, our gavel club meetings went online.  Dr. Sunny has been the most important contributor to the club meetings since then.  Once again, Dr. Sunny has inspired all club members.  Kids are making amazing progress under her influence.  I believe we will have an even more fabulous journey together.
